This new plastic hubcap was offered for the Tesla model 3 for the years 2017, 2018 and 2019. It was also offered on the Model Y starting in 2020. Tesla refers to this wheel cover as the “Aero” hubcap design and it only fits on an 18” alloy wheel 96276 or Tesla part numbers 1044221-00B, 104422100A and 1044231-98-A. The Aero Hubcap snaps on to the wheel (96276) for installation and while installed, Tesla states that aerodynamics and performance are improved on the vehicle. This hubcap was only offered by Tesla in this one charcoal finish. You can choose to not install the aero hubcap on your wheel and use a center cap and lug nut kit, that will only have the alloy wheel showing and not the full face hubcap for a different cosmetic appearance some may prefer.
